PRESIDENT
John Magufuli made a mini-cabinet reshuffle to his cabinet by appointing two
new ministers for Home Affairs and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
According to a statement issued by the
Directorate of Presidential Communications in Dar es Salaam today, Agriculture,
Livestock and Fisheries Minister Mwigulu Nchemba moves to the Home Affairs Ministry
while Buchosa MP, Dr Charles Tizeba, takes over from the former.
The reshuffle followed the sacking of former Home
Affairs Minister Charles Kitwanga for misbehaving in Parliament. Dr Tizeba had
served as Deputy Minister for Transport during the fourth-phase government, led
by President Jakaya Kikwete’s reign.
The statement further noted that the appointed
ministers will be sworn-in at the State House in Dar es Salaam tomorrow.
President Magufuli revoked the appointment of Mr Kitwanga at the end of last
month after the minister reported to the House seemingly under the influence of
alcohol.
